MUSICAL ASSOCIATION

The Musical Association of Belgentier which took its first steps in 1993 is regularly intimated to the cultural life of the village in various forms.
Its goal is to allow the children and adults to reach a musical teaching of quality in order to give the possibility of a cultural blooming as well as in the urban centres. It takes part within various demonstrations of its commune, presentations of instruments at the school preceded Re, concerts, festival of the music...
The maintenance of the school of music resides
mainly in the quality of its teaching staff. All are graduate (academy regional, national, etc). lls controls perfectly and remains active experts of their instrument, imperative conditions for a teaching of quality.
Current manpower includes/understands 22 pupils and 8 professors, more of the voluntary members to assure the administrative side.
With regard to the collective lesson: musical initiation (from 4 to 6 years), musical formation (musical theory) the pupils are accomodated once per week during one
one hour duration.
In order to move away as much as possible from a too school traditional diagram, this year, an experiment of music computer-assisted was installation in certain classes of musical formation.
With regard to the disciplines instrumen-
bruise, thirty minutes of course are exempted by pupil, whatever the level. Several instruments are taught there (piano, flute, baffery, clarinet, guitar, saxophone, violin, trumpet).
The principal role of the school and its teachers is the promo-
tion and the sensitizing of a maximum of children to this marvellous art that is the music and to give to each one the possibility of becoming a musician. It is obvious that all the pupils will not become artists and besides, for the majority, such is not their wish.
There does not remain less true about it than even a musician " amateur' must have an excellent musical luggage.
For the school re-entry the 2000/2001 courses will begin again as from Monday October 2 and of the places are still available for the children or adults eager to be registered.
